by on Tuesday 09 March 2004 Bit disappointing! with a name like Snapper Reef and a sign saying beautiful fish I expected more. This was the first time I got fish n chips in my new house. I could have gone to a closer fish n chip shop but went a little bit further to these guys hoping they'd be good. I must have got these guys on the day before they get fresh fish delivered or something. They had Gurnard and Trevally and I got Gurnard and it wasn't very fresh. Stink! Cost $ 3.25 too so should have been. If they'd have had snapper like their name suggests, it would've cost over 4 bucks which is getting up there. They serve fish n chips in those lil cardboard trays you get in food halls then put it in a paper bag. I prefer mine wrapped in newspaper. It keeps em hot and you can rip a little hole in the top and eat them while you're riding your bike home. The tray thing doesn't work very well on a bike. They give you free tartare sauce but let's face it nothing's free and the cost is covered by the pricey fish. All in all pretty average. Rating:
