Triptych begins

eek Triptych begins today and I still haven’t got any tickets even though I’ve known about it for ages. I’ve missed out on The Silver Jews which sold out pretty quick. So I’ll be making do with the video of Silver Jews – Trains Across the Sea live at Ottobar on youtube. I’m gonna try and get to Sun Ra Arkestra on Friday at Liquid Room in Edinburgh and maybe Buck 65 and Tunng at ABC in Glasgow on Saturday. There’s still tix for Aphex Twin on Sunday in Glasgow but I’m a going to Beltane instead. The Triptych player has a bunch of tracks from artists playing at Triptych and some other random gems.

You can enter the draw for tickets to Radio 1′s Big Weekend in Dundee now. Great that I don’t have to listen to Chris Moyles at breakfast anymore to find out how to get hold of tickets. I can’t believe he gets paid so much. I guess loads of people must think he’s great but not me. I hate the old whacky breakfast host routine.
